European regulators are investigating TikTok for possible breaches of users' data privacy, in particular data transfers to China. This investigation follows an earlier probe that resulted in a €530m fine, where TikTok was found to be allowing Chinese access to European users' data. Ireland's supervisory authority, responsible for overseeing TikTok in the EU, will assess compliance with the measures imposed by GDPR. TikTok has not yet commented on the new investigation.
