Three Romanians, a man and two women, were arrested in Italy on charges of exploiting Moldovan workers, some of whom were minors. They were paid extremely low wages and forced to live in the warehouses of the workshop where they worked. The investigation, conducted by the carabinieri and the Labor Inspectorate, revealed inhumane working conditions, with shifts of up to ten hours and wages of approximately two euros per hour. Additionally, the three Romanians are accused of complicity in illegal immigration and tax evasion, having businesses that evaded taxes of over 670,000 euros. The investigation uncovered a fraudulent scheme of opening and closing companies to avoid paying taxes.
