The USA has approved the sale of advanced weapons to Finland, in a deal estimated at 1 billion dollars.

The transaction, valued at over 1 billion dollars, includes air-to-air missiles and associated equipment, aimed at enhancing Finland's ability to face threats, as well as interoperability with American forces. This comes against the backdrop of tensions with Russia and marks an important milestone in military relations between Helsinki and the USA, following Finland's accession to NATO in 2023. The American Congress is set to formally validate the transaction.
