The fragments of the aircraft found on Monday afternoon in a locality in Vrancea most likely come from the drone that entered national airspace on the morning of August 24, from the Republic of Moldova, announces the Ministry of National Defense in a press release.
"Following the checks carried out, it was found that the drone did not have an explosive payload," emphasizes the Ministry of National Defense.

The mayor of Garoafa commune, Laurențiu Diaconu, confirmed the presence of drone fragments and notified the authorities, according to Monitorul de Vrancea.
This, after on Monday morning, around 6:00 AM, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defense detected intermittent signals in the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, in the Cahul area, and one of the signals later appeared in the Târgu Bujor area, Galați County.
