These statements come in the context of a U.S. military operation that led to the killing of the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran launched attacks on Israel and other countries with American bases, without causing casualties. President Donald Trump warned that attacks against Iran could continue in the next five weeks.
