The special operations forces of the USA are in the preparation stage for a possible mission to confiscate enriched uranium from Iran's fortified nuclear facilities, according to a report by the New York Post.

This operation could involve the deployment of thousands of soldiers who would secure the nuclear sites, clearing damaged entrances and establishing safe routes to an airfield. A smaller team of special operators would then enter the facilities to remove the nuclear material.

Joseph Rodgers, deputy director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, emphasized that such an action would become a viable option if negotiations with Iran do not lead to an agreement regarding the stockpile of uranium. Possible targets include the facilities in Fordo and Isfahan, as well as the underground complex Pickaxe Mountain near Natanz, where Iran is believed to have transferred hundreds of centrifuges. This mission would be extremely complex and dangerous, with significant implications for regional security.
