The European Commissioner for Economy, Valdis Dombrovskis, stated that due to the fiscal measures adopted by the Romanian Government this summer, the economic situation of the country has improved. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized that this announcement confirms the effectiveness of government actions, mentioning that the Excessive Deficit Procedure remains suspended, which means that Romania will not be sanctioned. The budget deficit is decreasing, and expenditures are controlled, remaining close to the recommended limits. Bolojan thanked the Commission for the support provided and emphasized the importance of continuing reforms, improving revenue collection, and responsible management of the public budget. He highlighted that Romania is regaining credibility on the international stage.
