The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba recently approved new proposals for economic and social transformations, according to a report from state television. This decision was made during an extraordinary plenary session, where approximately twenty reform proposals were discussed.
The reforms, initiated by the government, aim to open more sectors to private investments, attract capital from Cubans abroad, and reduce the size of the state. These proposals have already received the support of the influential former president Raúl Castro, which gives them additional legitimacy.
The implementation of these reforms could mark a significant change in Cuba's economic policy, having the potential to stimulate economic development and improve the living conditions of citizens.
