The snow and ice have created chaos in air traffic across Europe, with Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport announcing the cancellation of at least 800 flights. Approximately 1,000 passengers were forced to stay overnight at the airport, where beds were set up and food was provided. In Paris, Storm Goretti led to the cancellation of 140 flights, and public transport was suspended due to blocked roads. Météo France issued alerts for 38 departments due to heavy snowfall. In Spain, the snow affected rail and road traffic, and in the Western Balkans, passengers were stranded on trains. Other countries, such as Poland and Hungary, declared a state of emergency due to severe weather, affecting schools and public transport.
