Donald Tusk, after the discovery of the crater in eastern Poland: "All the evidence suggests that it was a Russian ballistic missile Kh-101"

The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that all indications show that the object that crashed in a field in eastern Poland is a Russian ballistic missile Kh-101.

The authorities are awaiting the results of the investigation to confirm with certainty the type of projectile and its origin. The incident occurred during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine, and Kyiv claims that the missile violated Polish airspace, a NATO member state. Ukraine has requested to participate in the investigation conducted by the Polish authorities, while the President of the European Council, António Costa, condemned the Russian attacks and the violation of Polish airspace.

Polish authorities discovered a crater and missile fragments scattered in a field near the border with Ukraine, in the locality of Tarnawa-Kolonia.
