Russian airstrikes on Kyiv: one child was killed and five people were injured

Russian airstrikes killed a child and injured five other people in Kyiv and the surrounding region early Wednesday morning, according to officials cited by Reuters.

The attacks sparked fires that affected private homes, as well as a store and a warehouse in Kyiv, injuring two people, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram.

Timur Tkachenko, governor of the Kyiv region, wrote on Telegram that a Russian missile and a drone attack killed a child and injured three other people in the area, also damaging infrastructure, homes, warehouses and vehicles.
