<p>On Monday night, the Zaporozhe region was the target of several Russian air strikes, resulting in 17 deaths and at least 82 injured. Buildings in the prison complex were destroyed and nearby homes were damaged. President Zelenski's chief of staff denounced the attack as a "new war crime", calling for economic and military measures against the Putin regime. Zaporozhe, partly occupied by Russia, is one of the regions unilaterally annexed by Moscow.
