The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense shot down 51 Ukrainian drones during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, in seven regions of Russia and in Crimea. Most drones were intercepted in the Saratov, Volgograd, and Rostov regions. Following the drone attacks, airports in Volgograd, Samara, and Tambov temporarily suspended operations to ensure flight safety.
On the same night, Russia launched a missile and drone attack on a gas processing infrastructure in the Poltava region of Ukraine, which led to the disruption of operations. The Ukrainian company Naftogaz reported three massive attacks in recent days, in the context of a Russian bombing campaign against Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which has led to power outages and increased gas imports.
