Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine carried out a 'terrorist attack' on a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker, which exploded and sank in the Mediterranean Sea, between Libya and Malta. The incident, which led to the complete sinking of the ship carrying 61,000 tons of LNG, was confirmed by Libyan authorities. Putin emphasized that this attack exacerbates the situation in global energy markets, especially in gas markets. Although Ukrainian officials did not immediately respond to the accusations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that the US-Israel war against Iran has suspended trilateral discussions to end the conflict in Ukraine. Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to resume negotiations as soon as the security situation and political context allow it.
