The Polish Minister of Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, has raised an alarm regarding the possible use of Ukrainian drones captured by Russia to launch provocative attacks against NATO member countries, including Poland, Finland, and the Baltic states. After a meeting of the National Security Committee in Warsaw, he emphasized that Moscow holds a significant number of captured drones, which represents a constant and high threat. Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned that it is essential for Poland to be prepared for potential escalations of tensions, recalling the recent interceptions of Russian aircraft by Polish and Swedish forces. In the event of an attack, he expressed confidence in the application of NATO Articles 4 and 5, which guarantee military assistance among member states. The incident in September 2025, when Russian drones entered Polish airspace, demonstrated the seriousness of the situation, leading to the downing of the drones and flight restrictions.
