Oana Gheorghiu, interim prime minister, reacted harshly to the statements of Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, who announced that his party might not vote on the outstanding PNRR projects sent by the Government. Gheorghiu emphasized that these projects are essential for the allocation of European funds in hospitals, schools, and infrastructure. In a Facebook post, she criticized Grindeanu's attitude, stating that he is blocking reforms and European money to protect his political interests.
The deputy prime minister mentioned that the refusal to vote on the necessary laws for accessing funds is a serious political choice, denouncing Grindeanu's behavior as a negative example in Romanian politics. Grindeanu replied that PSD does not take responsibility for the Government's projects, emphasizing that they should have been implemented by the Executive.
