Mark Rutte has denied speculation that the United States might reconsider its military presence in Europe, stressing that Washington will maintain a strong conventional deployment on the continent. This comes amid European fears over negotiations to stop the war in Ukraine. More than 80,000 US troops are currently stationed in Europe, and European leaders, including the Lithuanian president, have said they have received no signals of a US troop withdrawal.
