On Tuesday evening, the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia was the target of a massive drone attack by Russia, resulting in the injury of at least 19 people and damage to several residential buildings. Governor Fedorov reported the destruction of 31 apartment blocks and 20 private buildings, as well as large fires in the affected areas. Eight people were hospitalized for medical care. Rescue operations are underway in 12 locations, with maximum mobilization of Emergency Services and medical teams.

The Ukrainian air forces managed to shoot down 72 out of the 90 drones and two ballistic missiles launched by Russia. Although Russian forces occupy extensive territories in the Zaporizhzhia region, the city remains under Ukrainian control. Additionally, the head of the Zaporizhzhia region, installed by Russia, announced that Ukrainian forces attacked energy infrastructure in areas controlled by Russia, leaving 40,000 customers without electricity.
