As a result of a massive drone attack, Russia has significantly damaged the natural gas transport infrastructure in the Poltava and Sumy regions, affecting over 100,000 people. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that the attacks also targeted other regions, such as Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk. In recent weeks, Russia has intensified attacks on energy infrastructure, causing a severe gas shortage in Ukraine.
