Asad Hussain, 36 years old, was sentenced to eight years in prison after he created a fake profile on Tinder of his ex-partner to lure men to her home, claiming that she had a "rape fantasy."
The Chester Court found that Hussain convinced 35 men to visit the victim's home, and in some cases, several came simultaneously. The victim stated that she ended the relationship due to his jealous and possessive behavior. Hussain used multiple mobile phones and parked near the victim's house to operate the fake account.
He was found guilty of harassment, assault, and failing to provide the PIN code for a confiscated iPad. The victim described the devastating impact of his actions on her life, mentioning that she constantly feels in danger. The judge also issued a 15-year restraining order against Hussain.
The police highlighted the complexity and severity of this harassment case, emphasizing the risks that the internet poses to women.
