A man from Sydney, Enrico Pucci, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after harassing his former partner through the Tesla app. He gained access to the woman’s car and remotely modified its speed, temperature, locking system and the periods during which the vehicle could be used.

The incidents took place in November 2025, one month after the relationship ended. The woman noticed that a parental control profile had been added, to which she did not have access. Between November 6 and 12, Pucci allegedly alternated extreme cabin temperatures, activated the mode limiting the car’s speed to 40 kilometres per hour and tried seven times to interrupt the vehicle’s charging.

Pucci, 50, pleaded guilty to 30 offences related to domestic violence, including stalking, assault, strangulation and harassment through a communications service. The judge described his behaviour, which continued for four years, as coercive and controlling. He will not be eligible for parole before serving 15 months and is expected to appeal the sentence.
