A man from Dâmbovița was placed under preventive arrest after allegedly asking a minor for explicit photographs and sexual relations

A 30-year-old man from Dâmbovița County was placed in preventive custody for 30 days after allegedly repeatedly asking a 15-year-old minor to send him photographs containing sexually explicit content and allegedly attempting to persuade her to engage in sexual intercourse. The two allegedly communicated through an online application in November 2025.

The case was documented by officers from the Dâmbovița Organized Crime Combating Service and DIICOT prosecutors from the Dâmbovița Territorial Office. According to investigators, the man allegedly knew the victim’s age and, using the same requests, allegedly attempted to persuade her to have sexual relations.

Following a home search, authorities discovered and seized several data storage devices, which will be analyzed. The suspect was detained by prosecutors, while the judge for rights and freedoms at the Dâmbovița Tribunal ordered his preventive detention for 30 days. Investigations are continuing to establish the full extent of the alleged criminal activity.
