Juliet's House, located in the historic center of Verona, has become an international tourist symbol due to the reconstruction of the balcony from Shakespeare's famous tragedy. Due to the increasing crowding, the municipality decided to implement a paid ticket system, limiting access to 100 visitors per day, down from 130 previously. Access is granted in groups of 45, at intervals of 15 minutes.
Although the measures are temporary, they have generated confusion and frustration among tourists, who were not informed about the changes. Criticism from guides and the opposition has arisen, arguing that the restrictions are inappropriate for the winter season. Local officials argue that these measures are necessary for the safety of visitors and that, without them, the courtyard would have had to be completely closed.
