The spectacular theft of jewelry from the Louvre Museum has been valued by the museum's curator at 88 million euros, announced Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau. She emphasized that, although the amount is considered "extremely spectacular," the historical damage of the stolen jewelry is immeasurable.

Beccuau warned that the thieves will not be able to obtain this amount if they decide to melt down the jewelry, urging them not to destroy these works of art. Among the stolen jewelry are a pearl tiara worn by Empress Eugénie and the necklaces of Queens Marie-Amélie and Hortense, all coming from the Apollo Gallery of the museum.
