Thieves, described as a couple with children, used a stolen truck to reach the museum, where they stole jewelry worth 88 million euros. Although four people have been accused, the jewelry, including a historic necklace and a tiara, remains missing. Beccuau mentioned that at least one other suspect is still at large. Two of the suspects, a man and a woman, were apprehended after their DNA was found at the crime scene, while others were arrested in connection with the theft. They partially admitted involvement but denied the charges of organized theft.
