At Luton Airport, a man was caught stealing designer sunglasses worth £350 from a duty-free shop. The incident was captured by surveillance cameras, and the perpetrator was identified and removed from the plane just moments before takeoff.

The police posted on Facebook a comparison between the flight price to Bacău, which is £320, and the value of the stolen sunglasses, highlighting that some decisions can have unexpected costs. The post generated ironic comments regarding the man's nationality, with users making references to Romania and the association of this country with crime in the UK. The man was required to pay for the stolen goods and was escorted out of the airport.
