The Chinese giant Huawei has unveiled new computing solutions for artificial intelligence, including the Atlas 950 supernode, built on its own Ascend chips. It will integrate 8,192 chips, having a significantly greater computing capacity than the planned Nvidia systems. Huawei will launch three new versions of chips by 2028, each doubling the previous capacity. The announcement comes in the context of China seeking self-sufficiency in semiconductor technology, and Huawei aims to become a serious competitor in the global AI market.
