Nvidia, together with major companies on Wall Street, such as Goldman Sachs, Apollo, BlackRock, and KKR, intends to mobilize at least 500 billion dollars for investments in the infrastructure necessary for artificial intelligence.
The funds will be raised from investors and used to finance data centers equipped with Nvidia chips, essential for training and executing AI models. Although Nvidia has not provided details about the timeline for raising these funds, CEO Jensen Huang mentioned that the new investments could benefit start-ups and research laboratories in the field.
Estimates suggest that the United States will need a capacity of over 70 gigawatts for AI data centers, and the investments required to build them amount to approximately 50-60 billion dollars for each gigawatt consumed. Technology companies' spending in AI could exceed 730 billion dollars this year, indicating a continuation of expansion in this sector.
