This rocket is designed to strengthen NATO's defense against Russian drones, such as those from the Shahed series. In the context of recent drone attacks, Mark 1 offers a more economical alternative, costing approximately 50,000 euros, compared to expensive missiles like those from the Patriot or Stinger systems. The accuracy rate of Mark 1 is 56%, with a long-term goal of 90%. The missile is fully autonomous, having a guidance system based on artificial intelligence and resistant to jamming, but has a limited range of only 2 km.
Frankenburg Technologies aims to produce hundreds of missiles per day in factories located in two NATO countries. Kusti Salm, the company's director, states that the technology will be essential in the coming years for defense against aerial threats.
