France is preparing for a new heat wave, less than two weeks after a similar episode. Meteorologists announce that, in the coming days, temperatures will frequently exceed 30 degrees Celsius, especially in the southern regions, such as Occitania, Languedoc, and Provence, where values of 35 degrees Celsius or more are expected. Temperatures will be 6 to 10 degrees above the usual average for this period. Although the beginning of next week will bring a brief pause, the mass of warm air will extend northward, and from Wednesday extremely high temperatures are forecasted in various regions. Meteorological authorities are monitoring the situation, but it is premature to declare a heat wave. Experts emphasize that the frequency and intensity of these heat episodes have increased, and the population is advised to avoid sun exposure and to stay properly hydrated. If the forecasts are confirmed, France could record the highest temperatures since the beginning of the year.
