Yellow heatwave alert and warnings of storms and strong winds for the last day of summer. ANM announces temperatures of up to 37 degrees.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a yellow alert for heat on Monday, valid between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM, for the regions of Crișana, Banat, Maramureș, western Transylvania, western and southern Oltenia, and southwestern Muntenia. Meteorologists forecast exceptionally high temperatures, with maximums between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius, and high thermal discomfort, with the temperature-humidity index (THI) reaching the critical threshold of 80 units. The hot weather will continue in the coming days.

Additionally, ANM issued a notice for Tuesday, between 1:00 AM and 11:00 PM, regarding atmospheric instability, torrential downpours, and wind intensifications. These phenomena will affect Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, and western Transylvania, with showers that may exceed 20-25 liters per square meter. Meteorologists also warn of possible electrical discharges and small hail.
