The weather will remain unusually warm for this time of year, with temperatures potentially reaching 27–28 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday in southern Romania, Florinela Georgescu, director of forecasting at the National Meteorological Administration, said on Digi24.
Until Friday, the weather will generally be pleasant, with a low chance of precipitation. Maximum temperatures will generally range between 19 and 26 degrees Celsius, although readings above 25 degrees will become increasingly frequent starting Wednesday. The highest temperatures are forecast in the southern regions.
Nights will be less cold in depressions, with minimum temperatures ranging between 4 and 12 degrees Celsius. Atmospheric pressure will gradually decrease, and the weather may begin to change on Friday, when rain is expected to arrive first in western Romania.
On Saturday and Sunday, precipitation could spread to all regions, although the episode will be short-lived. Meteorologists estimate that several days of generally pleasant weather and rising temperatures could follow. After October 15, there are indications of a more significant cooling and more widespread precipitation.
