The National Meteorological Administration is forecasting a sharp change in the weather in Bucharest: after an unusually warm Sunday, with temperatures reaching 28–29 degrees Celsius, the capital will see a significant drop in temperatures and almost continuous rain starting Monday morning.
Until 9:00 a.m. Sunday, skies will be mostly clear, winds will be light, and minimum temperatures will range between 12 and 14 degrees. During the day, the weather will remain pleasant, with temperatures well above the period’s average.
From the evening onward, skies will gradually become overcast and temporary rain will develop, potentially accumulating 3–6 liters per square meter. From Monday morning until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., skies will be cloudy and precipitation will be almost continuous. Rainfall totals may reach 20–30 liters per square meter.
The maximum temperature will drop to 15–16 degrees, while the minimum will fall to 9–10 degrees. Winds will temporarily strengthen, with gusts of up to 45 km/h. From October 11 to 13, Bucharest will be under a meteorological advisory for moderate rain and strengthening winds.
