ANM announces cold weather at the end of September and above-normal temperatures in the second half of October

The National Meteorological Administration updated on Tuesday, September 22, the forecast for the next four weeks, through October 19. Meteorologists announce a start to the period colder than normal throughout the country, followed by a gradual warming, so that temperatures will become slightly above the usual values toward the end of the period.

In the week of September 21–28, temperatures will be lower than those typical for the period in all regions. Rainfall will be heavier in the northeast, while the western and southwestern parts of the country will have below-average precipitation.

Between September 28 and October 5, temperatures will be above normal in the west and southwest, while in the rest of the country they will approach the climatological averages. Precipitation amounts will be lower than normal across most of the territory.

During the period October 5–12, the weather will become slightly warmer than normal in most regions, while rainfall will return to values close to the average.

For the final week, October 12–19, ANM estimates temperatures slightly above normal throughout the country and precipitation close to the usual values.
