Weather forecast for October 2026: ANM announces below-normal temperatures at the beginning of the month and gradual warming in the second half of the month

The National Meteorological Administration (NMA) forecasts lower-than-normal temperatures in the eastern, southeastern and central parts of the country at the beginning of October, as well as below-average precipitation nationwide. From the second half of the month, temperatures will rise, with average values becoming slightly higher than usual for this period.

During the week of September 28–October 5, temperatures will be below normal in the eastern, southeastern and central regions, with the most pronounced negative deviations in the southeast. In the rest of the country, they will be close to normal. Precipitation will be below average everywhere, especially in the west, north and center.

For the period October 5–12, the NMA forecasts slightly higher temperatures in the west and southwest, lower temperatures in the southeast, and normal temperatures in the other regions. Rainfall will be slightly below average across most of the country.

During October 12–19, temperatures will be above normal in the western half of the country, while elsewhere they will be close to usual values. Precipitation will generally return to normal levels.

In the final forecast week, October 19–26, temperatures will be slightly higher across most of the country, while precipitation will be close to normal.
