In recent months, European military aid to Ukraine has risen significantly to €80.5bn, compared with €64.6bn from the US. Most of Europe's arms now come from the defense industry, not from stockpiles, which have dwindled. In May and June, European aid totaled €10.5bn, with Germany, Norway and Belgium leading the way. The US, on the other hand, changed strategy, selling arms to Ukraine instead of giving them away for free.
