The Heritage think tank in Washington announced on Monday that former Polish President Andrzej Duda will collaborate on initiatives related to 'transatlantic security, European defense preparedness, democratic resilience, and policy recommendations for the future of conservative leadership in Europe.' Heritage praised Duda for strengthening Poland's military posture and increasing defense spending during his two terms from 2015 to 2025, presenting him as an example of leadership focused on sovereignty in a tense geopolitical context. Kevin Roberts from Heritage emphasized the importance of leaders who serve their nations, noting that Duda understood the needs of his citizens. Duda has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, even proposing a permanent American military base in Poland, dubbed 'Fort Trump.' In a statement, Duda expressed that he was 'honored' to join Heritage, mentioning that he also wishes to contribute to promoting conservative solutions for Europe. His party, Law and Justice (PiS), enthusiastically supports Trump's policies and rhetoric.
