The U.S. Department of Justice recently released nearly 30,000 pages of documents from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, in which the name of President Donald Trump appears in several contexts. A letter written by Epstein, addressed to Larry Nassar, a former doctor convicted of sexual crimes, contains vulgar references to President Trump, mentioning "our love and care for young ladies." Although the letter does not explicitly name Trump, it refers to "our president."
The Department emphasized that some statements in the documents are "false and sensational" and that there are no legal accusations against Trump in connection with Epstein. The release of these documents was mandated by the "Epstein Files Transparency Act," and the Department of Justice has been criticized for inadequate redactions and for the delay in publication.
