Billionaire Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, testified Wednesday before a U.S. congressional inquiry, stating that he had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal activities.
Gates emphasized that he never attended any illegal activities and that he was never interested in a personal relationship with Epstein, although Epstein tried to get close to him. Gates stated that their relationship began in 2011, three years after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution.
The committee chairman, James Comer, requested more information about the connections between Gates, Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell. Gates acknowledged that his ties to Epstein were a "huge mistake" and denied any involvement in his illegal activities. He also mentioned that he did not observe anything illegal during their interactions.
