In Kassandra, Greece, intervention forces have been constantly reinforced to combat a fire threatening homes in Siviri. 110 firefighters are participating in the operations, including 12 from the Republic of Moldova, supported by planes and helicopters. The flames have reached houses, prompting authorities to issue evacuation alerts for residents of Siviri and Fourka. The Hellenic Coast Guard has begun evacuating people from the beach, using private boats and rescue vessels. Due to the high fire risks, the regional vice-governor has imposed traffic bans in forest areas, effective on August 14, with police conducting checks. Authorities are calling for compliance with these measures to protect lives and ecosystems, and violations of the order are punishable by fines.
