Greek authorities are responding after a fire broke out on the Blue Carrier 2 ferry near Mykonos

A fire broke out Friday on the car deck of the Blue Carrier 2 ferry near the Greek island of Mykonos. There are 29 people on board, including 28 crew members. No casualties have been reported, and the people on the vessel had not been evacuated at the time the information was transmitted.

Greek authorities mobilized at least five coast guard vessels, two fast fireboats from Syros and Lavrio, and a fire service vessel from the port of Piraeus for the response operation.
