<p>NHS England, responsible for managing £200 billion of spending, is to be disbanded and control of the health system will return to central government. The decision has been criticized by Wes Streeting, the health secretary, who called it the "final nail in the coffin of the disastrous reorganization" of 2012. Streeting stressed the importance of cutting red tape and directing resources to frontline staff.
