Almost 60% of Bulgarians are worried about the economic impact of adopting the euro, according to a Gallup International poll. The main reasons include fears of rising prices and insufficient information. Negative campaigns and attachment to the leva also contribute to these worries. Bulgaria will adopt the euro in 2026, becoming the 21st country in the eurozone.
