The hospital in Constanța where a young woman died after giving birth will operate on an outpatient basis.

The Minister of Health announced that the private hospital unit in Constanța will operate on an outpatient basis, according to current legislation, but its future remains uncertain. To prevent similar situations, the Ministry of Health will launch a digital oversight platform, in collaboration with the Control Body and the State Health Inspection. This platform will allow the uploading of necessary documents for obtaining the operating permit, which will be validated by specialists. The minister emphasized the seriousness of the situation, mentioning that in the last three months, operating permits issued illegally by the Public Health Directorate have been identified. The healthcare unit in question has been authorized annually since 2009, although it does not comply with legal standards.
