The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacted to an article in the Washington Post which claims that Hungary, under the leadership of Viktor Orbán, provides Russia with detailed information from EU Council meetings.

Donald Tusk stated that Poland already had suspicions in this regard, emphasizing that this behavior is the reason why he is cautious in his statements. The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, dismissed the accusations, labeling them as "fake news" and accusing Tusk of trying to support the opposition in Hungary.

Relations between Poland and Hungary have deteriorated, especially due to Budapest's blocking of EU aid for Ukraine and its close ties with Russia, which further complicates the political situation in the region.
