Recent photos published by Survival International show more than 50 members of the Mashco Piro tribe, who have no contact with the civilized world. The indigenous people were captured on the banks of the Las Piedras river in Peru's Madre de Dios region. The reclusive tribe has been spotted coming out of the forest more and more often in search of food, apparently moving away from the increasing presence of loggers. The images were released as logging companies hold concessions in the area.
