<p>The leader of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, harshly criticized George Simion, considering him anti-Hungarian and urging the Hungarian community to vote for Nicușor Dan in the second round of elections, scheduled for May 18. Hunor underlined Simion's actions against Hungarian symbols and expressed the UDMR's support for Dan, in contrast to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's support for Simion. Journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu appreciated Hunor's initiative.
