The National Assessment for eighth-grade graduates (EN VIII 2026) will begin on Monday, June 22, with a written test in Romanian language and literature. The exam will take place in 2,956 educational units, with the participation of over 148,000 graduates, according to data provided by county school inspectorates. Students are allowed access to the exam centers between 8:00 and 8:30, and they must present a valid identity document and writing instruments with ink or blue ink. The tests will start at 9:00, when students will receive the booklet with the subjects and stamped paper for rough work. Each written test will last 120 minutes, and the completion of the identification box will be checked. The assessment will take place according to a set schedule, and students are encouraged to prepare thoroughly.
