The Ministry of Education proposes changing the assessment procedures for the 2027 National Assessment by introducing a reanalysis of scores before papers are sent to other evaluators. The draft, launched for public consultation on August 13, 2026, provides for lowering the threshold for this check in mathematics from more than one point to more than 0.50 points between the marks awarded by the two teachers.
The platform would automatically notify evaluators when differences exceed the established thresholds: 0.50 points in mathematics and one point in Romanian and the mother tongue. If the difference remains after reanalysis, the paper would be randomly assigned to two other teachers. In the case of an assessment conducted by four teachers, the highest and lowest marks are removed, and the final mark is the average of the other two, without rounding.
Additional checks are also provided for appeals, when the mark differs by more than one point from the initial result, regardless of whether it is higher or lower. The final mark may decrease and becomes definitive.
Under the proposed schedule, registration will take place from June 7 to 11, 2027. The written exams are scheduled for June 22 in Romanian, June 24 in mathematics, and June 25 in the mother tongue. The initial results will be posted on June 30, and the final results on July 7.
