Alexandru Nazare's participation in ECOFIN, which takes place on October 9-10, 2025, aims to present the measures adopted by Romania to reduce the deficit and rectify the budget. Romania must demonstrate that it will reduce spending and increase revenues in order to continue receiving European funds. The agenda includes bilateral meetings with officials from Bulgaria and Greece, as well as discussions with Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for Economy. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the importance of these measures to avoid the suspension of European funds.
